How entries are built

Source priority

We prefer government agencies, official company statements, court and regulatory records, standards bodies, academic publishers and security researchers. Secondary reporting is useful for discovery and context, but it is labelled as such.

Claim labels

Archive entries distinguish FACT, SOURCE CLAIM, RESEARCHER ANALYSIS and EDITORIAL. A source claim records what an organisation says; it is not silently upgraded into an established fact.

Verification

An entry marked primary means a contributor read a primary record and checked the claims against it. Unchecked means the citation exists and resolves, but that review has not yet been recorded. Dates show when the entry was last reviewed, not a promise that the source will never change.

Corrections

Corrections are made in the repository and described in the commit or pull request. Material corrections should explain what changed and why.
